Laparoscopy and endoscopy are established in urban areas to a large extent. Still, they have to penetrate the rural areas. We already know the advantages of laparoscopy such as small scar, reduced surgical site infection, less pain, early recovery, early return to work, minimal loss of blood and cosmetics. The disadvantages are steep learning curve for the Doctor, loss of hand-eye coordination, 2D image, change in ergonomics.
