Overview of Engineering Physics Book

There is a two-semester compulsory course of Physics in all branches of Engineering, and, surprisingly enough, the Indian publications on the subject, a few readily available in the market, covers only twenty percent of the syllabus at the most. Naturally, the students are forced to buy many books on the subject at one time, utilising each book for each topic of the syllabus. In this pursuit they not only waste a good deal of time and energy, but also their valuable money to a great extent. To do away with this menace the author plans to incorporate the entire syllabus in this single volume-probably the first of its kind in the market. At the end of each chapter several solved problems, typical questions, and meaningful exercises with hints and answers are included, thereby taking the book to an optimum level of student-friendliness. Besides, there are four sets of model question papers for each semester to enhance the students' capacity of self-assessment and prepare them for the ensuing examinations. The whole text-a rare combination of felicity and brevity-along with the appendices and bibliography are planned in a special way to encourage the students for further study in the subject. The book shall be extremely helpful for the AMIE students and a handy reference for Physics major and minor students and shall be required by the NET, GATE, and SLET examinees.
