About the Book: The book covers the theory and application of linear control systems. The book is written in English with simple and lucid language. The book is prepared with utmost care and provides backgrounds of each topic with essential illustrations and practical examples. This follows a step by step derivations and explanations. The book represents a completely a new approach on the state variable approach and control theory. The theory of control system can be understood through the working of many problems. With this point in view, a number of exercises including theory questions and numerical problems are provided at the end of each chapter. This book is intended to be used as introductory text for a senior or graduate course on linear control systems. It is assumed that readers have a prior knowledge on the basic principles of differential equation, matrix algebra, Laplace transformation, etc. The book consists of ten chapters and each chapter begins with an introduction of that chapter. Introductory terminology and mathematical model development of control system are covered in chapters 1 and 2, respectively. The analysis of the control system in time and frequency domain are made separately in chapters 3 and 5, respectively while chapter 4 covers system design approach based on Root Locus techniques. Stability analysis is included in chapter 5. Some special topics on concept of non-linear control system, sampled-data control system and state-space analysis of control system are treated in chapters 7, 8 and 9 respectively. The book ends with chapter 10 dealing with control system motors illustrative example of control system
