Competency-based Medical Education (CBME) Curriculum for Indian Medical Graduates (IMG), introduced in the academic year 2019-20, lays greater emphasis on the acquisition of specific competencies and essential skills. A logbook, to maintain a record of the activities conducted and the competencies and skills acquired is now a mandatory requirement. Thus, the logbook forms an integral part of the formative assessment programme.
